Yesterday was just one of those days. Wow! The Spirit was moving in and through our people in some really powerful ways. Our praise band was spot on and I knew the day was going to be special when our worship leader's morning prayer was so filled with passion and love of God that it grabbed my heart and wouldn't let go. The message challenged people that we must live into our vision of being a ministry that gives people something to give their lives to and living out their ministry wherever they are. It never has been about pew sitting and theological debates...its about accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and our response to it. In response one family made a commitment to Christ, another man stepped forward for prayer wanting the Spirit to enter his life and be open to what God is calling him to do, and another family that had left the church some time ago said if this is what the church is about then this is where they need to be. Wow! The day was topped by a great concert last evening by the Motet Singers of Louisville who dedicated the concert to Carol Browning, a former member of The Valley who passed away recently.
Sometimes God gives you a day to just see how great a God he is. Yesterday was just such a day. It makes all the long and hard days worthwhile when you have days like yesterday.
